Privacy policy

Last updated September 17, 2026

NarraMora turns the books you upload into narrated, scored listening. Doing that means handling your account details and the documents you bring. This page explains what we keep, why, and how to get rid of it.

What we collect

  • Account details. When you sign in with Google, Facebook or LinkedIn, the provider sends us your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to identify your account and never post on your behalf.
  • Your books. The PDFs you upload, the text extracted from them, a cover image rendered from the first page, and the scene and mood notes we derive from the text.
  • Reading activity. Where you are in each book, your listening preferences such as voice and music volume, and the generated narration and music clips for the passages you have played.
  • Technical logs. Standard server logs such as request times and error reports, used to keep the service running.

How we use it

Everything above exists to provide the service you asked for: to sign you in, keep your library in sync across devices, and narrate your books. We do not sell your data and we do not use your books to train models.

Who else sees it

  • Convex hosts our database and file storage, where your account, books and reading positions live.
  • OpenRouter and the AI providers it routes to receive passages of your books in order to analyse the mood of a scene, read it aloud and compose music for it. Passages are sent only when you play them, and only the text needed for that request.
  • Google, Facebook and LinkedIn handle sign-in under their own privacy policies.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Your books and reading positions stay in your library until you delete them. Deleting a book removes its file, extracted text and cover from storage. Generated audio is cached temporarily to avoid regenerating the same passage and may be cleared at any time. To delete your whole account, write to us at [your contact email] and we will remove it along with everything in it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Requests go to [your contact email] and we answer within 30 days.

Children

NarraMora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, let us know and we will remove it.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
